Advanced Divorce Practicum

This 2 day course meets the requirements for the Georgia Office of Dispute Resloution for observations and co-mediations. Participants will observe and co-mediate with an experienced neutral in domestic cases. Divorce Mediation Training for Professionals is a prerequisite for this course for those who want to be registered.The cost of the two-day Advanced Training is $400.00. Domestic Violence
More and more states are requiring or encouraging their domestic mediators to have additional training in domestic violence issues. See schedule below. The cost of the two-day Advanced Training is $400.00.

Most trainings are approved for CLEs for attorneys, CEs for Marriage and Family Therapists, Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, and through NBCC for other counselors.

General/Civil
The 28 hour Civil course and completion of the observation requirements are necessary for Georgia mediators prior to registering for the Divorce Mediation course. Courses for General/Civil are not currently offered through the Mediation Training Institute. Please contact the Justice Center of Atlanta or the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution for available courses. The cost of this training is $1,390.00 (lunch included).

Juvenile
This 21 hour training will qualify you for mediation in juvenile issues. A prerequisite for this course is the General/Civil Mediation Training.
